Outdoor IP Video Network

Effective object monitoring through video surveillance

IP-based video surveillance requires a suitable infrastructure to be able to work safely and reliably. Uninterrupted image transmission has top priority. MICROSENS possesses comprehensive know-how and decades of experience in the field of critical infrastructures with the highest demands on reliability. With an extensive portfolio of product solutions in various performance classes, MICROSENS offers users secure, reliable and flexible solutions for today's and tomorrow's requirements.

MICROSENS switches for IP video can handle star topologies as well as ring topologies. This enables them to work efficiently in Ethernet networks and automatically activate another connection to the network if one line fails. The switch authorizes the connected cameras, as well as their power supply with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) and, if necessary, their reset. Extensive security features directly at the edge of the network ensure increased network security. This effectively prevents unauthorized access attempts and at the same time conserves central resources. Due to the strategic partnership with the leading camera manufacturer Mobotix, MICROSENS not only has a high degree of know-how and experience in network technology, but also in the special requirements of IP video technology.

One of many examples is the ruggedized micro switch in  the  mast box. The compact box with IP67 protection contains a space-saving splice cassette for the network connection via fiber optics, the ruggedized micro switch with four IP connections with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) for end devices such as IP cameras as well as its power supply. On request, the box is also available with an integrated surge protection module.
