Small, Robust, Reliable: MICROSENS Entry Line compact Offers Cost-effective Components for Industrial Networking

As of now, MICROSENS offers a new series of high-performance products for industrial networking in a particularly compact design. The Entry Line compact series includes copper/fiber optic media converters, switches, and Power-over-Ethernet injectors and splitters. All of them merely cover the surface area of a modern smartphone and can be directly assembled on the DIN rail or via a mounting bracket on the wall. Due to their robust design in a stable metal casing, these devices are particularly suited for the application in rough industrial environments. A further feature of the products of the new Entry Line compact series is the extended working temperature range between -40 and +70 degrees centigrade.

Plug-and-Play

Especially in production environments, reliability and fast commissioning of the components-which are in part installed in other machines-are of essential importance. The products of the Entry Line compact series can be put into operation very simply. An additional configuration of the components is not required. The SFP ports, which are provided both by Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet media converters, offer a particular flexibility for fiber optic connections. The Fast Ethernet media converter 10/100TX  to 100FX with SFP port is additionally available as a variant with PoE+ according to IEEE802.3at. This standard ensures a maximum feed of the connected end devices per copper port of up to 30 watts. In addition to the media converters, Microsens also offers a 5-port Fast Ethernet Switch 10/100Base-TX. The Entry Line compact series is rounded off by a 2-port power injector for Gigabit Ethernet.

About MICROSENS

Transmitting information via fiber optic connections offers numerous benefits. MICROSENS GmbH & Co. KG recognised this very early on. As one of the pioneers, the company has developed and produced high-performance communications and transmission systems in Germany since 1993. Individually matched to the demands of diverse usage areas and embedded in comprehensive concepts for individual sectors. But, above all, close to the customer. Technical challenges from customer projects are incorporated directly into product development. This way, IP-based automation solutions are created for modern buildings, cost-efficient network concepts for the office and workspace, robust and fail-safe solutions for industrial environments, optical transport systems future-oriented wide area networks and efficient coupling of sites and computer centres.
