Description

MICROSENS multi-port converters offer a multitude of 100Base-FX to 100Base-TX conversions on 1U in a 19" environment.

 

MICROSENS offers two different versions. In addition to the 12-port version, there is also a 24-port version, which features an extremely high port density on only 1U.
 
In fibre optic-based 100 Mbit networks, a large number of active fibre optic ports are required in the central distribution area. From an economic point of view, the use of media converters with copper-based switches makes a lot of sense.
 
However, central conversions within buildings that use 100 Mbit can also be achieved with the multiport converter. There are even single-mode variants of the device.
 
The fibre optic connections are designed with the standard SC duplex connector, while the copper-side interface is RJ-45. Multi-port converters have a number of additional features, such as integrated SNMP and web management for remote administration and interchangeable ventilation modules.
