euromicron subsidiary MICROSENS introduces the new High-Power PoE Injector to the market - Robust PoE injector provides up to 95 watts

As of now, end devices with a demand for power of more than 60 watts can be supplied via Power-over-Ethernet. The new Entry Line High-Power PoE Injector of the euromicron subsidiary MICROSENS supplies devices with electric power of up to 95 W over the data connection. Applications in security technology, such as PTZ surveillance cameras with heated casing for outdoor areas, or white light and infra-red spotlights benefit from the high performance just as much as access points, LoRa® wireless communication systems, and mobile computers. The injector can also be integrated quickly and simply into existing networks.

The new injector fully complies with the existing PoE/PoE+ Standard and supports Gigabit Ethernet with data transmission rates of 10/100/1000 Mbps. In addition to the operating modes according to IEEE 802.3af/at with 15.4 W/30 W, a higher performance of up to 95 W can be provided. Here, all four wire pairs of a twisted pair data connection are uniformly used for power transmission.

The new injector serves, for instance, to supply LED and infra-red spotlights used for video-surveillance in an economically efficient way with power by means of Power-over-Ethernet. In addition, existing switches can continue to be operated and do not have to be replaced as inevitably.

With its robust metal casing and the extended temperature range from -40 to +70 degree centigrade, the injector is ideally suited for the application in an industrial environment. The extended shock and vibration resistance of the injector was proved in many-sided applications under adverse environmental conditions. As of now, the device is available under the designation MS657033X.

About MICROSENS

Transmitting information via fiber optic connections offers numerous benefits. MICROSENS GmbH & Co. KG recognised this very early on. As one of the pioneers, the company has developed and produced high-performance communications and transmission systems in Germany since 1993. Individually matched to the demands of diverse usage areas and embedded in comprehensive concepts for individual sectors. But, above all, close to the customer. Technical challenges from customer projects are incorporated directly into product development. This way, IP-based automation solutions are created for modern buildings, cost-efficient network concepts for the office and workspace, robust and fail-safe solutions for industrial environments, optical transport systems future-oriented wide area networks and efficient coupling of sites and computer centres.
